It refers to cells in our body which grow out of control and spread to other cells of the body and convert them to defective cells that stop working. In simple terms it refers to those bad cells that influence and effects the working of other cells. Cells become cancerous due to the accumulation of defects or mutations in their DNA. Image of a cancer cell Causes Cancer is a genetic disease—that is, it is caused by changes to genes that control the way our cells function, especially how they grow and divide. It occurs in many different forms and effect different parts of the body, it can be any party of the body like, brain , nose, lungs, liver and skin etc. Certain inherited genetic defects also causes the DNA to damage making it defective, infections can also increase the risk of cancer. Environmental factors , for example air pollution and poor life style choices such as smoking and heavy alcohol use can also damage the DNA. Most of the times, the cells which are impacted by some kind of infections are able to detect and recover themselves from DNA damage, However, if a cell is severely damaged and cannot repair itself. It undergoes a process called programmed cell death or in medical terms it is called as “apoptosis”. Cancer occurs when damaged and defective cells grow, divide and spread abnormally in different regions of the body, as a result making them also defective instead of being self-destructive. Tumors :- Tumor is an abnormal mass of cells. It is a swelling of a part of the body, the swelling can occur on any part like head, Nose, Mouth, Breast, Stomach Leg anywhere, generally without inflammation, caused by an abnormal growth of tissue, whether Benign(non- cancerous) or Malignant(Cancerous). Non- Cancerous tissues grow locally and does not spread whereas cancerous tumors spread and infect other tissues, this process is called “Metastasis” . It is the process where cancel cells break free from a tumor and expand to other areas and invade the other tissues in the body. Metastasis is an important stage, because it helps to determine the staging and treatment of cancer. Tumour in head of Patient Symptoms There are more than 100 types of cancer. Stage I - Stage III- the higher stages of cancer corresponds to larger tumors and/or greater extent of disease. Cancer in this stage may extent beyond stage 0 and infect tissues and organs. Stage IV – This type of cancer may spread to distant lymph and nodes, tissues and organs. Steps of Cancer Treatment Cancer treatment mainly depends on the type and stages of cancer as well as the state of health of the patient. The most common treatments of cancer are – Surgery –Surgery is often performed to cure cancer and remove cancerous tumors, with surgery the determination of actual size of tumor can be done and removed. However , sometimes it is not possible to remove the infected part completely because it may damage the critical organs of the nearby tissues. In that case a surgery called “debulking” is performed to remove as much infected part as possible, similarly “palliative” surgery is done in the advanced part of the cancer. Both the surgeries are done to reduce the effect of cancer to a minimize the effect of the cancer. Image Source Radiation – This is the most used treatment for curing cancer. Radiation kills the cancer by damaging their DNA, during radiation it may happen that the DNA of healthy cells are also damaged. So, its important that radiation treatment should be done with utmost care. Image Source Chemotherapy – This is one of the most use treatment of cancer depending on the stage at which the patient is. “Chemo” in Chemotherapy means using more than 100 different medications used to treat cancer. Happy Womens Day W- Wonderful O - Outstanding M - Marvellous A - Adorable N - Nice Image Source It is rightly said that : Women are the substitution of God. A women is referred to be a goddess in India,(Lakshmi, Saraswati, Durga). It is said that God could not come everywhere on earth to care for child, that’s why he made “Mother”. A Women is a “Mother” who is the first person for a child to whom he feels, touches and sees, She delivers the child, brings him/ her up well, no matter whatever may be the condition. The mother, daughter, sister, wife, employee and the explicitly diverse relations are extraordinarily handled by her. She is a “Daughter “who said to be the shadow of her mother in the family, growing under the love and affection shield of her parents. She can be as strong as son could be, may be not physically strong as a man, but psychologically and mentally they are strong sometimes even stronger than men. She is a “Sister”, without whom one of the purest relations of a brother/sister and a sister can never be completed, a sister is the first friend for her brother/sister, she knows everything about her brother in and out, saves him/her from scolding of her father, in short one of the best friend of her brother/sister. A brother/sister also cares for his/her sister the most , tries to keep her happy all the time and saves her from all adverse conditions. She is a “Friend”, who is one of the best buddies for her other friends, who loves to enjoy life with their friends and be together at each and every moment of her life. A girl or a woman who is a friend always helps his or her friend about what the other girl or women feels. She is a “Wife” who is the better half of her spouse, who stands by his side irrespective of whatever may be the situation, marries a person whom she don’t know well but still with all her devotion, belief and optimisms, makes and develops a beautiful family and the cycle of life repeats when she herself becomes a Mother. In the previous decades , the role of the women was just to get married and make a family and live happy life, In villages it was even more backward, they were not even suppose to take proper education. But with time, the Women has grown leaps and bounds in every field, and their stature has grown in each every field she gets into. These days it is said and believed that they are matching man in each and every field they are going to and even surpass them with great success and to some extent it is correct we the people should except that fact and encourage them to do better. But with all the improvements over the time, they had to face many adverse situations in life, they are being used and targeted in a bad manner at almost every place, this has to be stopped once end for all. People should not forget the ultimate image of the women which has been made as early as the world is existing. They are meant to be respected and they deserve every bit of it. As I have mentioned earlier in my write-up that “Women is one of the forms of God “. And I think, its not difficult to understand that No one disrespects God than how can a Woman be disrespected?. Respect Women not just today but every day of your life, as she is the most important person in everyone’s life. Ineedoctor team pays tribute to one of the beautiful and divine souls of the world. Happy Womens Day!!
